Uncertainty may well have been the theme of the past few years, what with the weakened economy and downslides in many industries. Management guru Swami Sukhabodhananda went for the jugular of the topic, opening the innings on the second day of Goafest 2013 with pithy and good-humoured advice to the audience on how to tackle uncertainty.

Speaking on "Uncertainty is also part of life", he started by examining the perception of uncertainty itself. "You think you are seeing right, but if your context is wrong your perception is distorted," he said. "We need to perceive our uncertainty properly."

"If you become Uttam Purush only then India will become vibrant and the world will become vibrant.

The more and more you react, life becomes living hell. So can we have the discipline to respond? In English, responsibility means the ability to respond. So our responsibility is to learn to respond to situations.

Please understand that success and satisfaction should be balanced. The secret of satisfaction is enjoying whatever you are doing. Unfortunately, when you think of enjoying you think of drinking, smoking, eating. It's not enjoyment, its pleasure. We think enjoyment is pleasure.

Have power to refuse psychological disability and create success. Winners never quit and quitters never win, for that to happen very important is you should refuse to get hurt.
